It’s time for Beer’s Biggest Party! Dust off your Lederhosen or Dirndl, brush up on your Chicken Dance or stein-hoisting skills, and rally your crew. We invite you to join us for a festive night of craft beer, bountiful food, and live music— including the return of MarchFourth Marching Band.

Don’t forget! The 2024 Oktoberfest bash spans two weekends. The four sessions (Sep. 27 & 28, and Oct. 4 & 5) require separate ticket purchases. Tickets for each day are sold separately, so pick the day(s) that works for you and come party.

A vibrant celebration of craft beer’s rich heritage and an homage to Bavarian culture!

Grab your friends and come join the party at Sierra Nevada’s Oktoberfest. Clink steins with new friends and old, under a canopy of twinkling lights. Enjoy the spectacle of MarchFourth Marching Band. Watch expert glassblowing artists create dazzling masterpieces live in front of you. Savor the rich flavors of artisanal craft beer and hearty feast fare. It’s not just a party; it’s a memory in the making. Every “Prost!” is the spirit of good times and great company. Don’t miss out on the toast of the town—it’s an experience that will have you coming back year after year!

Our authentic Oktoberfest is a collaboration with Brauerei Gutmann, an iconic German brewer that’s been family-owned since 1707. This classic Festbier is smooth and balanced with biscuity malt flavor and a clean finish. Prost!

MarchFourth Marching Band

MarchFourth is a joy-inducing force of entertainment, celebrating their 21st Anniversary this year. The colorful explosion of brassy funk, rock, and jazz is all about the groove. This larger-than-life group of 15 musicians, dancers and acrobats brings a spirit of celebration wherever they go. MarchFourth is, in a word, FUN!

AlpenBand California

AlpenBand California a modern German style 4-member Oktoberfest band. We feature Accordion, Trumpet, Euphonium, Bass and Drums. Our shows include German Oktoberfest hits, combined with traditional favorites with a mix of Oldies rock n roll and some international favorites. We wear Lederhosen, with our own flair on traditional garb. During our performances, we love to mingle with the crowd, so viewer beware, you just may be forced into an impromptu chicken dance.

Live Glassblowing

We’re excited to feature the Chico State Glass Club, their members, instructors, and guest artists to showcase their skills through live glassblowing demonstrations. The pieces they create are commonly auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting local art collectives and other non-profit organizations.

Our friends at Chico State’s Glass Club have partnered with the Museum of Glass to provide a glass blowing studio for live demonstrations by local artists. Watch glass blowers create works of art in real time! Select pieces will be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting the The Museum of Northern California Art (MONCA) and the Chico State Glass Club.

Chicken Dance Contest

Start practicing and come ready to cut a rug (or kick up some bark) during our annual Chicken Dance. For those new to this silliness, learn the Chicken Dance with this awkward instructional video.

Flash your ‘Stache Competition

A good old-fashioned moustache-off. Well, we’re not shaving them off; judges will be circulating to review candidates and to invite finalists to the stage. This year, we welcome attendees to help select winners by joining us for judging at the stage between our Chicken Dance and Stein Hoisting contests.

Stein Hoisting

Join us for this ultimate show of muscle. Competitors will battle to see who can hold a 1-liter stein — filled, of course — for the longest amount of time. Seems simple, right? Sign-ups and semi-finals will take place in the beer garden (look for the stein-hoisting space). The final rounds will take place on the main stage!
