Sustainable practices are a staple of everything we produce, including our events.
Every year, we divert more than 90% of Oktoberfest waste away from landfill, and we invite everyone to participate. Watch how we create sustainable events!
This is what we do:
This year, you can help us make Oktoberfest a Zero-Waste event! How, you ask?
Be prepared.
Sierra Nevada takes the safety of our customers and staff seriously. All Sierra Nevada staff working at Oktoberfest are trained in emergency response procedures and are informed on actions we must to take to safely address incidents that may occur.
If an incident occurs, we will notify all festival attendees through our amplified sound system with instructions on what to do and where to go. During this time, all entertainment, food and beverage service will cease.
If an incident arises prior to, during, or after the event, Sierra Nevada will provide information via EventBrite, which will send emails to all ticket purchasers.
Don’t drink and drive. Really, we can’t stress this enough. If you overindulge, leave your car or bike overnight and come back for it the next day. Take the free shuttle or a taxi; you’ll make some new friends and keep everyone safe. There is No Parking on site at Sierra Nevada! Parking and shuttle information are subject to change.
We are pleased to offer these options for getting to Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest.
From Downtown Chico — the shuttle will run on a continuous loop on Friday and Saturday from 4:30-11:00 p.m. Pick up and drop off are at the transit center across from Madison Bear Garden. This is the ideal option for those seeking post-fest fun.
Chico Velo is offering complimentary bike valet services and there is plentiful bike parking at the brewery! We don’t advocate drinking and riding your bike, though.
No driving, door-to-door service and you can make a friend along the way. Ride-share and private car drop–off/pick–up are encouraged, with a special area in our solar parking lot, close to the event entrance.
Complimentary parking is available at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds, which is a short walk to the brewery, or you can take the shuttle that will run back and forth from 4:30-11:00 p.m. If you need to, you can leave your car overnight at the fairgrounds and pick it up the next day.
